Dr. Scott Oddie Chairs the Health Research Collaborative, an applied research program of Alberta Health Services (AHS) and Red Deer College.
Dr. Oddie leads and supports initiatives that allow us to measure and assess the impact of primary health care.
He leads collaborative teams of health practitioners, academics, community stakeholders, decision makers and students that address issues, problems or processes in our health system and/or community.
These collaborative initiatives address a diverse array of health issues that include assessing patient and provider experience, Aboriginal health, community-based physical activity interventions to enhance mental wellness in children and youth and innovative virtual care models to enhance the self-management of chronic disease. Working together, project teams generate knowledge and evidence that is applied to improve health and wellness outcomes in communities.
