Erin Kirwin, MA
Erin Kirwin holds a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Alberta, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics and International Development Studies from McGill University. She is the Manager of Health Indicators and Statistics at Alberta Health, and has held the position of Public Health Economist with Alberta Health since 2011.
She has lead cost-effectiveness analyses to support provincial decision making for immunization programs such as human papillomavirus and herpes zoster vaccine. Her peer reviewed work includes health technology assessments of diagnostic tools and treatments for gastrointestinal diseases, and mathematical modeling of mitigation strategies for pandemic influenza and healthcare associated infections. Erin is also a member of the Canadian Chronic Disease Surveillance System Economic Working Group, Canadian Immunization Research Network, and the Network of Alberta Health Economists.
