Fatima is a research associate with the “Alliance for Canadian Health Outcomes Research in Diabetes” (ACHORD) research group, School of Public Health, University of Alberta, and currently the research manager of APERSU.
Fatima completed a BS in Nursing at the Lebanese University, MS in community health nursing at the American University of Beirut, and PhD in Public Health at the University of Alberta. She has been working with the ACHORD group since 2013.
Fatima has several research interests including improving health outcomes in the diabetes population with a focus on self-care management and health literacy, and health valuation and measurement with a focus on patient reported outcome measures (PROMs), particularly health-related quality of life measures.
